IHFC began life in 1987 as EHFC, but by 2000 the remainder of the original team had long since departed their employment at English Heritage, some of them voluntarily.

It seemed sensible, therefore, to change the name to reflect the diverse international makeup of the team. We have fielded Australians, New Zealanders, Africans, West Indians, Russians, Japanese, and even the odd Englishman over the last few years, in addition to representatives from most European nations.

The management team are both Irish. Dav (Davros) from Dublin, and his enigmatic assistant, Bill (Fat Bill), from Belfast. In fact the team has never been lacking in representation of a celtic persuasion.

At one brief point in its history the team did actually boast at least five Englishmen. Four of whom, notably, supported the illustrious Huddersfield Town. Probably the largest support bias in the club's history (How interesting - Ed).

But why go on when a picture can say a thousand words?
